Herbs from all around the world, herbs used for thousands of years in many different cultures. Just as in every other area of our lives we are going global, it's the same for the vast body of knowledge that is herbal medicine. We are now sharing indiginous medicines and learning more and more about the natural plant medicines from around this amazing gaia sphere. Suma is also known as Brazilian Ginseng, although it is not actually from the Ginseng family it has similar properties. The plant has a deep root system and it is the roots which are used to heal and prevent disease.

And it really does treat many of the bodies imbalances. It normalises and regulates the endocrine, nervous, digestive, cardiovascular and immune systems. Because it is an adaptogen it helps the body tackle stress, it is restorative to the bodies systems and promotes cellular regeneration, as well as oxygenating the cells. Well it sounds amazing but have you ever taken this stuff yourself? Or do you know anyone who has?
I have taken Suma 4:1 concentrated potency at 500mg capsules (no binders or fillers added) 1-2 caps a day. I am 49 yrs and female. I have hypothyroidism & take thyroid meds. & use a progesterone cream for low progesterone levels. I start taking Suma and for the first 4 days feel good with increased energy and stamina but then get a tightening in my left arm and feel somewhat anxious BUT it is unclear if it is the Suma or maybe the Suma is balancing out my thyroid and it is the reaction of the medication....as I have had other occasions when I've experienced the same symptoms due to an overdose of thyroid medication treament by an ubconsciencious physician and I had NOT been taking any Suma. Suma used to be very popular I believe back in the 70's and then lost it's popularity. It would be helpful to know what caused its drop in popularity. What just are the side effects?
Suma has alot of good benefits but is also known to increase estrogen levels. It may be wise to consider using a progesterone to counter balance the additional unopposed estrogen caused by the Suma for women. It may be best if Suma were not used at all by men. Before taking Suma or any other substance that increases estrogen levels it may be beneficial to read up on the effects of unopposed estrogen in the female body as well as that of the male. There are a great many reputable books available, even at the library, loaded with valuable information regarding hormonal imbalances and their effects on the human body.
Actually...yes I did take this years ago.
It was prescribed to me by a Doctor that spent years researching this plant to help me with my immune system (it was weak due to too much exercise).
I can tell you that after taking this powder every morning for 3 months I didn't catch a cold for 8 years! This stuff is amazing!
